Although not all children who wet the bed will develop depression, it is possible that depression can occur in a child who suffers from bed wetting. Bed wetting depression can represent itself in a variety of symptoms common with the usual signs of depression. A change of behavior such as from an outgoing and bubbly child to a reserved and shy personality is a common sign of bed wetting depression. Lower grades, lethargic behavior and complaints of headaches and similar illness to avoid going to school are also symptoms of possible bed wetting depression. Bed wetting depression is linked to the child suffering from bed wetting itself so eliminating this problem will undoubtedly help the child however, it may not be the sole reason and you should be aware that the depression itself should also be treated. Although bed wetting cannot directly cause depression, it can put people at risk because of the way it makes you feel as a bed wetting sufferer.
